Power Out

Last night was a wash

Power Out

This kind of says it all, right?

We got 2 games last night, as best I can tell. The Katahdin boys beat Stearns 59-44 and the Schenck girls beat Stearns 39-27.

With half the state without power (as of last night) and bridges and roads out of commission all around the state, it wouldn't be a shock if a number of today's games were postponed because you can't play with the lights off.

If you've got information on when a game has been postponed (or you'd like to know), the Scoreboard updates pretty well.

If you know a new date and want to add it, that makes it so much easier to keep track of schedule changes, like so:

It's a pretty handy resource, especially since Varsity Maine has been having issues.

One thing I missed the other night is that Central's Mary Allen had a MONSTER night--a quadruple-double!

Eastern Maine Sports has the details.

Mary Allen has quadruple-double in leading Central girls basketball to win over PCHS
GUILFORD- Mary Allen had a quadruple double to lead the Central Lady Red Devils to a 55-42 win over Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS) on Friday evening. Allen finished with 26 points, 12 ste…

Without any games, let's check in on some alumni.

Teigan Pelletier had a big game.

And Cooper did his usual things.

Mackenzie continues to make fans.

It's a battle of undefeated teams in AA when Cheverus travels to Saco to take on the Trojans.

Thornton Academy is all alone in first place in AA South. Wyatt Benoit has been the standout so far. He had 26 in a win over Bonny Eagle.

Cheverus is 2-0 with wins over two teams that are trying to figure out what they're going to be this year, so I'm not sure we have a solid read on the Stags yet.

This will go a long way.

Thomas will have a lot more about this in his AA-centric newsletter. Have you subscribed to that yet? Because you really should!

The rest of today's games are after the jump...maybe.
