Girls Prelims
Punching tickets to the quarterfinals

We're going quickly here, as I'm trying to get everything ready for Friday.
In the Game of the Day, Poland opened up an 11-2 lead after one, but Mount Abram rallied to take a lead into the half before Poland used a big 3rd quarter to advance to the ACC and a date with Hall-Dale.
Last year, the Mt. View boys were a popular Cinderella pick in C North and in the podcast with Jay Baines, I was getting similar vibes from their profile this year.
So far, so good, as the Mustangs easily handled Hodgdon 65-22 behind 21 points from Arianna Bradeen.
They say it's hard to beat a team a third time, which is kind of the worst type of analysis, the sort of thing you get when you add a dude with a history of CTE to your NFL coverage, but the Southern Aroostook girls beat Stearns after getting swept in the regular season series. Or maybe they're just finally healthy? You might have to go full zombie/vampire killer on SA to make sure they're dead. That's not a team I'd want to get in the quarterfinals.
Jaylen Stevens forced overtime with a huge 3, but Jonesport-Beals prevailed behind 30 points from Mia Mills in a 10/7 upset.
Elsewhere
Cooper Smith had 16 in Lake Region's win over Poland...Paige Sevigny scored 16 to help Sanford advance to the semifinals...Mariam DeLisle had 21 and Lincoln Academy beat Mountain Valley in the B South 8/9 prelim...The #10 seed Dirigo girls pulled off an upset over #7 NYA to punch a ticket to the quarterfinals. Abby Luczynski had a big game to fuel the win.
Gold Ball Odds are updated for girls.

The Tourney Guides are (mostly) out!
Here's this year's version, featuring the Brewer boys.

Don't worry, this comes with a guide that explains it all.
So far, AA, A, and B are done and I should be able to get C & D done today after work. They come with a paid subscription. You can also purchase them separately, which should also be available tomorrow.
There will probably be an error somewhere (it's a LOT of information and a LOT of formulas), so if you see one, let me know and I can probably upload a fix.

Along with the boys prelims, we have some AA quarterfinals at the higher seeds.
Edward Little and Lewiston split the season series, with EL winning 46-36 all the way back on February 7th. But if you're Lewiston, do you fire all your bullets in that game? Maybe not.
The time to do that is now.

The Model's picks for the rest of today's games are after the jump.
