All's Wells

Wells makes short work of York.

All's Wells

The Game of the Day was something of a bust. The Wells girls used a 19-1 run to put away York, 51-31. Megyn Mertens had 18 points and 12 boards in the win.

The win moves Wells into 2nd place in B South, within striking distance of Oceanside, who will likely extend that lead when they play Lincoln Academy today.

First up, Monmouth.

There was also a flop technical in this game.

And then in the County.

If you go to Central Aroostook's Facebook page, you can see the best "my daughter is scoring her 1,000th point tonight shirt."

The new center court logo at the Cross is a hit on social media.

One account joked that Paul Bunyan was going to be Cooper Flagg until he signed with Duke.

The big news, of course, was the Belichick decision. The end of an era, for sure.

I, for one, always enjoyed Belichick's interactions with the media. There's a kind of high-level performance art to it, like he's channeling an Andy Kaufman character. So this video was a delight.

After starting the year 3-0, Thornton Academy has dropped 6 of their last 7 against a pretty rough schedule. 4 of those losses have come against teams in the top 10. They've played the 4th hardest schedule in the state so far.

There's a pretty big logjam in AA South between 3 and 6 and the top 2 seeds have separated themselves, so it looks like we might be playing the matchup game the rest of the way.

They'll host Falmouth, currently in 3rd place in A South. If the Navigators are going to keep pace with Freeport and GNG, they're going to need these Heal Points.

Plus, there's a new sideline camera.
