Weird Baseball

There should be ice cream

Weird Baseball

In MLB Twitter there used to be a thing called "Weird Baseball" (maybe there still is) that my old friend Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus started where if a game goes so long that it goes past midnight, you get to eat ice cream.

Kevin's not on Twitter anymore (because he works for the Twins now), but there's still some evidence of it.

I mention this because there's got to be a version of Weird Baseball for games where they don't have lights, because Foxcroft Academy and Washington Academy went 18 innings the other day and if that isn't Weird Baseball, I don't know what is.

Anyway, Foxcroft's Jack Day walked off in the 18th after pitching 8.2 innings of scoreless relief.

Thankfully, Eastern Maine Sports was there.

Jack Day walk-off sends Foxcroft to win over Washington Academy in 18 inning instant classic
DOVER-FOXCROFT– Jack Day ended a marathon, intense game with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the 18th inning that scored Aiden Harvey and gave the Foxcroft Ponies a dramatic 4-3 win over Wash…

Both teams were undefeated, so it was a big Heal Points win for Foxcroft.

Let me know what games I'm missing.

The Spring Sports Rankings have also been updated.

Yes, I know it says Goals instead of runs.

Again, let me know what games I'm missing.

The Celtics have sent #HeatCulture home in shame so it's time to move on to Cleveland.

And just like the Heat series, I found one of the very few Cavs fans in Maine for a podcast to preview the series.

Mt. Blue's Griffin Conlogue is going to join me LIVE at 8pm today to try and convince me that Dean Wade will go nuclear from 3 for two weeks.

Or on Facebook

And you can listen to the podcast wherever you podcast.

I'm working on getting some more podcast guests (some cool ones are in the works), so subscribe!
